ALBUM ART + VISUAL IDENTITY

Petrov is a Charlotte indie rock band that’s made a bold mark on the local scene with their raw sound and emotional depth.

I led art direction for Petrov’s self-titled LP, designing the cover artwork for the album and three lead singles. The visuals reflect the band’s raw emotional energy and punk ethos, grounded in a surreal, otherworldly aesthetic.

COVER ART SERIES

Motion Visuals

For the album release show, I created two animated sequences that transformed the artwork into immersive projection visuals. These played during the set’s emotional high points, surrounding the crowd in the world of the record.

PROCESS

To create the album art, I first developed a 3D model for the barbed wire sphere in Blender. Next I animated the sphere using Blender and After Effects to create the album visualizers.
